MGM Resorts International and its technology partner Playtech have added a new dimension to their “Live from Vegas” initiative with the debut of Family Feud. The latest launch, unveiled on August 28, 2025, marks the first time a live interactive game show has ever been broadcast directly from a Las Vegas casino floor.

The game is a licensed version of Fremantle’s legendary television show and is streamed in real time from a transparent glass studio situated on the bustling gaming floor of the MGM Grand. Accessible to operators in regulated markets outside the United States, the studio already hosts live dealer table games including blackjack, roulette, and baccarat, now joined by the game show format.

Gary Fritz, President of MGM Resorts International Interactive, described the project as a major milestone for the company’s digital growth strategy. “MGM Resorts, with Playtech and Fremantle, is at the forefront of digital gaming, bringing the iconic Las Vegas experience to people around the globe,” he said. “The live dealer studio marks a major step in our growth strategy and pursuit of being the world’s premier gaming entertainment company. We will continue working to create unforgettable moments and new ways to enjoy what the Las Vegas Strip has to offer.”

Building on the 2024 Launch

The debut of Family Feud is the second stage of the ongoing collaboration between MGM Resorts and Playtech. Their partnership began in June 2024 with the rollout of live dealer table games streamed from both MGM Grand and Bellagio Resort & Casino. That initial launch introduced players to 24/7 broadcasts of traditional casino games, setting the stage for the expansion into interactive entertainment.

The addition of Family Feud strengthens what the companies describe as a “full suite” of live-streamed experiences designed to bring the Las Vegas Strip atmosphere to international audiences. Mor Weizer, CEO of Playtech, emphasized the importance of the move: “We’re proud to unveil our full suite of live-streamed experiences from Las Vegas, now featuring Family Feud. This next phase of our collaboration with MGM Resorts and Fremantle represents our shared ambition to redefine live gaming entertainment. Together, we’re introducing a new category of immersive and engaging content to support growth in regulated markets, built on a foundation of robust compliance and player protection.”

A First for the Franchise

For Fremantle, the project represents an entirely new way of presenting one of its most famous properties. Suzanne Lopez, Fremantle’s Chief Operating Officer, highlighted the uniqueness of the adaptation: “Our partnership with MGM Resorts and Playtech brings together world-class entertainment, technological innovation, and gaming excellence. For the first time, Family Feud has been integrated into a live dealer environment, powered by actual survey questions from the official Family Feud franchise. This collaboration delivers a truly unique and authentic game show experience.”

The involvement of Fremantle ensures that the new offering remains faithful to the brand’s long-running appeal while also adapting it to an interactive casino-streaming format.

Future Growth and Strategic Expansion

Both MGM Resorts and Playtech have signaled that this is only the beginning of a broader rollout of distinctive content. The companies have indicated that additional titles and formats are already being planned as part of their long-term strategy. The initiative aligns with wider corporate moves under MGM Resorts CEO Bill Hornbuckle, whose leadership has recently been extended through 2028.

As the partnership develops, the two companies are expected to collaborate closely with international operators to promote not only entertainment but also responsible gaming. Christian Stuart, MGM Resorts’ SVP and Head of Interactive NA, and Playtech COO Shimon Akad have already participated in industry discussions emphasizing the importance of compliance and player protection within the project.

By bringing together the expertise of a global casino leader, a leading gaming technology provider, and a world-renowned entertainment studio, Family Feud “Live from Vegas” represents a significant innovation in the digital gambling sector. It stands as both a tribute to the iconic Las Vegas Strip and a preview of the evolving future of live-streamed gaming experiences.
